Jacket EX with minimal shelfwear, no fading/marks; vinyl is VG to VG+. I normally would not list a disc in this condition except for the extreme scarcity of this issue. The vinyl here has superficial scuffs and marks overall, although play is better than appearances. Cleaned in a VPI machine and fully play tested. There is surface noise and very light tics for a good portion of the total playing time, but the clarity of the violin playing and the orchestra, including in the tuttis, is not at all diminished, it is crystal clear. The ear quickly adjusts, but if you cannot tolerate noise this is not for you. But I would regard this as a solid starter copy or place holder of one of the most sought after and costly early Decca stereos and an enduring performance of the work. Priced accordingly.
