Icarus/Daedalus… which is actually a duo. Who’s the other half of the duo? Well, it’s his son Charles. So we think that’s pretty rad. And it’s a pretty significant departure from what you might expect from a punk rocker and his son. Using field recordings from their travels as a foundation for their songs, Trever and Charles created an album of ambient music, and we at Rad Dads HQ are really digging it! Trever discussed the creative process of working on the album with his son, and reflected back on their relationship, starting from Charles sleeping in a playpen on the tour bus years ago, to collaborating on projects together today.Trever touched on some of those challenges he faced trying to balance parenting with the need to be on tour with Face to Face, and honed in on the importance of being accessible for your child, regardless of whether you can be physically present or not.
