Various • Harold Faltermeyer – Top Gun (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Vinyl Record LP) (1986)
British 1st release influential rock soundtrack.
The movie (1986, dir. Tony Scott) starred Tom Cruise, Anthony Edwards, Val Kilmer and Kelly McGillis.
Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
VINYL: VG+. Very clean on visual inspection. No obvious marks, scuffs or hairlines on either side. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is fantastic throughout. Mild surface noise/static at run-ins (more obvious on side 2) but all cues sound superb. Just some very light static during some quieter cues and fade-ins/fadeouts. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. A very enjoyable listen overall.
OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: VG. Classic front cover artwork with original hype sticker still present on front. Clean overall. Edges and spine have light scuffing. Corners have more wear and nicks. Light nicks/scuffing to aperture. Reverse side has a few creases in from sides and disc outline. Overall a very good example.
INNER SLEEVE: VG+. Original. White paper. Minor folds and creasing in corners but nothing major. No rips or stains. Intact.
LYRIC INSERT: G+. White paper with blue printed text both sides. Lots of creasing and crinkling and a diagonal fold in one corner. Nicks and wear to edges but no big rips.

One of the best-selling soundtrack albums of all time, Top Gun remains a quintessential artefact of the mid-'80s. The collection's smash hits (including Berlin's "Take My Breath Away" and Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone") still define the bombastic, melodramatic sound that dominated the pop charts of the era.

ITEM CONDITION - items are graded according to Record Collector definitions - see below:
MINT: The
record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or
deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as
the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records
advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The
record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little
lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight
wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has
obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in
sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional
light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without
any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has
been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated,
perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents
suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration,
etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not
been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may
even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or
defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to
scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly
damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
