Decent hard-to-find 1980 US import.
Music score composed by Paul Dessau and Mark Levant.
The film (1945, dir. Roy William Neill), based on the story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, starred Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce.
Condition VINYL: VG. An exceptionally clean surface showing only a few light scuffs and some mottling. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is wonderful throughout. Sound restricted to the quality of the original archive material. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. A decent listening experience.
OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: F-G. Colours are clear and unfaded. Thick card sleeve. No obvious marks on front beyond very light scuffing at bottom. Bottom edge mildly scuffed but split in centre. Top edge badly scuffed and completely detached from back. Corners show bad scuffing and denting. Spine is crimped, clean and readable but worn at top and bottom. Aperture shows mild wear. Back cover generally clean but imperfections of edges/aperture visible from this side. INNER SLEEVE: VG. Original. White paper with squared corners and central hole. Centre split on two sides. Small tear on centre hole fixed with clear tape. A few minor creases/folds though normal handling.
