Artist & Title:  Little Richard - Here's Little Richard  Label & Cat #: 1957 Specialty – SP-100 *First pressing with original white label with black printing with "Specialty" in yellow and SP100 cat number. Heavy platter. Vinyl Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+) play graded *Very impressive play for this 65+ years old piece of vinyl. Side 1 has some superficial scuffing and both sides have some fine-line marks, but there were minimal noise disturbances. I did hear a few random isolated ticks and some occasional bleed through of extraneous noise, but it was limited in scope & intensity. All in all a great copy of this rock & roll rarity! Cover Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+) *laminated jacket with corner bump and delamination spot on lower lh front (also a bit of delamination lower rh corner); the top and bottom seams were separated and have been repaired with glue (see photos); price written top lh back corner Notes: What set Little Richard apart was his willingness to ramp up the tempos and turn the outrage meter up to ten; "Tutti Frutti," "Rip It Up," and "Jenny Jenny" still sound outrageous a half-century after they were waxed. These 12 tunes may not represent the alpha and omega of Little Richard's best music, but every song is a classic and unlike many of his peers, time has refused to render this first album quaint -- Richard's grainy scream remains one of the great sounds in rock & roll history, and the thunder of his piano and the frantic wail of the band is still the glorious call of a Friday night with pay in the pocket and trouble in mind. Brilliant stuff. (AllMusic) All photos are actual images of the item for sale. GRADING STANDARDS: (M) Mint: Record and cover appear absolutely perfect in every way.  Grade is seldom used, even with sealed albums where the record itself can only be assumed to be mint.
(NM) Near Mint: Vinyl is shiny with no obvious signs of wear and plays perfectly with no audible imperfections. Cover is close to perfect with minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident.
(EX or VG++) Excellent /Very Good ++: Record or jacket has a minimum of audible or visual imperfections. Vinyl has been handled and played very carefully. Light paper scuffs and/or spindle marks may be visible with no appreciable lessening in sound quality. Covers show very minor signs of handling and wear.
(VG+) Very Good Plus: Record displays light scuffs, spindle marks or very light scratches that may create some noise disturbances, but don't affect one's overall listening experience. Jacket begins to show more prominent signs of storage wear and aging.
(VG) Very Good: Defects are more pronounced with visible signs of handling and playing. Surface noise is evident upon playing, especially during soft passages and a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, although none of the flaws should be overwhelming.
(G) Good / (G+)Good Plus: Vinyl will have scratches and visible groove wear. Record plays without skipping, although noticeable surface noise or ticks will be heard. Jackets have even more pronounced defects such as seam splits, tape, writing, ring wear, water damage or other defects.
