PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.

(some copies were released : here's one!)
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: March 30, 1968, and THE YARDBIRDS had come to the Lower East side's Anderson Theatre to make what was ultimately to be their farewell concert in New York. the Yardbirds had fallen on evil times, this most progressive of the English rhythm 'n blues bands that had coalesced around the old Crawdaddy Club in Richmond. And now they were entering the twilight, with rumors of an imminent break-up following them wherever they would go. Gone were the screaming girls, the anguished teenyboppers who would plaster themselves all over the stage as soon as Keith Relf stepped toward the microphone; gone also were the hit singles, the flash of a Clapton or Beck, the incredibly progressive drive that was so much a part of them during the good years. All that was left was the rhythm section of McCarty/Dreja, Keith's voice and harp and a good-credentials-but-who-is-he-anyway lead guitarist named Jimmy Page.

And so, for the hordes of fans who faithfully made the pilgrimage all wondered whether or not THE YARDBIRDS would be able to
get-it-on in the way most of the remembered; like the way Clapton sort of nudged that perfect "four-second break" in "Here 'Tis" or all those insane stops and starts in "I'm Not Talking"; or maybe "Happenings Ten Years Time Ago" which was definitely so far ahead of its timeless-time.

Well, getting the benefit of hindsight to look back at the occasion, let us  tell you that you're in for one of those maniac rock 'n roll times, which you're going to carry out of that theater and tell all your friends about, and which they will tell all their friends, and so on, until you have on your hands a concert which approaches legend; LEGEND! The blues/R&B base of the THE YARDBIRDS is still here, yet JIMMY PAGE steps forward in many ways. He tears up the soloing on "Train Kept A Rollin,'" and lays out trippy netherworlds on "I'm Confused," demonstrating his ethereal mysticism on "White Summer," then extends "I'm A Man" to the kind of macho instrumental workout Led Zeppelin would all to soon make their name on.

This album was quickly withdrawn after Jimmy Page's lawyers filed an injunction. For this reason, it is the rarest Yardbirds album.
"Train Kept A-Rollin'"

"You're A Better Man Than I"/"Heart Full of Soul"

"I'm Confused"

"My Baby"

"Over, Under, Sideways, Down"

"Drinking Muddy Water"

"Shapes of Things"

"White Summer" (Jimmy Page solo track)

"I'm a Man" (12 minutes)) ... extended !
