THIS IS AN ORIGINAL MEGA RARE 1967 UK EARLIEST MONO PRESSING WITH EARLY STAMPERS.  THIS LP IS VERY RARE AND ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND! IN FACT, THIS IS ANOTHER CREAM RARITY AND IS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT ONE OF THE RAREST UK CREAM LP RELEASED.

THIS LP HAS A INCREDIBLE DIFFERENCES COMPARED TO OTHER LATER PRESSINGS!  PLEASE DON’T UNDERESTIMATE THE RARITY OF THIS LP AS IT RARELY COMES FOR SALE WITH THE 10 CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VERY EARLY FIRST PRESSINGS.

FIRST - THIS LP HAS RARE Av1 - BV1 MATRIX ENDINGS WITH EARLY STAMPERS IN BOTH SIDES. LATER MONO PRESSINGS DO NOT HAVE A1 - B1 MATRIX.

SECOND - THIS LP HAS A RARE "MISCREDITED" LABEL WHICH WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED. IF YOU LOOK AT THE PICTURE OF THE SIDE 1 LABEL YOU CAN SEE THAT THE BOTTOM CREDIT (AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE LABEL) IS MISCREDITED TO "WINDFALL MUSIC" WHEREAS ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS THIS WAS CORRECTED TO "IMMEDIATE MUSIC"

THIRD - THIS LP HAS ANOTHER RARE “MISCREDITED” LABEL WHICH WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED.  IF YOU LOOK AT THE PICTURE OF THE SIDE 2 LABEL YOU CAN SEE THAT THE BOTTOM CREDIT (AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE LABEL) IS MISCREDITED TO "APPLE PUBLISHING" WHEREAS ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS THIS CREDIT WAS CORRECTED TO "APPLE PUB. LTD" AND THEN TO "COPYWRIGHT CONTROL".

FOURTH - THE LP IS FULLY LAMINATED IN FRONT AND BACK. LATER PRESSINGS WERE ONLY LAMINATED IN THE FRONT.

FIFTH - ALSO ON THE SIDE 2 LABEL - IT HAS THE DATE '1967' - WHEREAS ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS THIS WAS SUDDENLY CHANGED TO '1966'!

SIXTH - IN THE BACK COVER HAS EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS DETAILS WITH THE UNBOXED SINGLE LANE MONO 593003 IN BLACK ON THE LEFT CORNER WHILST LATER PRESSINGS ARE BOXED.

SEVENTH - IN THE BACK COVER HAS THE LATER EARLIEST POSSIBLE' REACTION LOGO (BOTTOM LEFT ON REVERSE) IN WHITE (LATER ONES WERE IN BLACK)

EIGHTH - IN THE BACK COVER THE RIGHT HAND TRACK LISTING IS IN WHITE WHEREAS LATER COVERS HAD THIS IN BLACK.

NINTH - THE LABELS HAVE TWO CENTRAL RIDGES.

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL UK MONO 1ST PRESSING FROM 1967. IT IS THE GENUINE ARTICLE AND IN MONO! THIS IS HOW YOU'D HAVE HEARD IT ON PIRATE RADIO BACK IN THE 60'S. NOT MANY PEOPLE HAD STEREO IN THOSE DAYS. IT DEFINITELY HAS A DIFFERENT SOUND AND IS MIXED AS IT WAS ORIGINALLY PLANNED TO BE.

MONO WAS THE MAIN FORMAT OF THE DAY AND SO THOSE MIXES WERE DONE AT SEPARATE SESSIONS FOR EACH TRACK. MONO WAS WHERE ALL THE WORK AND TIME WENT AND THE STEREO MIX WAS PRETTY MUCH COBBLED TOGETHER AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT. I AM ALSO LISTING THIS WEEK A STEREO VERSION OF THIS LP WHERE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MONO AND STEREO CAN BE COMPARED.

The vinyl has been visually graded in very good condition. Please see below a description of grades and note that this vinyl has been played a lot and is over 56 years old and will not transform into anything different to the condition stated. The value of this LP is on its rarity rather than condition.

The Reaction labels with the miscredits are in very good plus condition.

The fully laminated front and back sleeve is in excellent condition with creases and corner wear.

T
he spine is partially split in the center and has been repaired.

Photos are of the actual item.

PLEASE WAIT TO RECEIVE AN INVOICE IF THE BIDDING EXCEEDS £50 AS IT WILL NEED TO BE INSURED ACCORDINGLY.

Visually-graded vinyl: A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such as scratches) and can help determine whether a record has been cared-for properly. A visual grading will not identify noise or crackle caused by non-visible sources. Most of the records I sell are between thirty and sixty years old and so it is likely that there may be some background noise even if they look perfect.

Play-grading MONO records: Mono records and stereo records have different grooves. A stereo record produces a stereo sound via both lateral and vertical groove modulation whereas a mono record is not intended to produce any sound from vertical modulation. Playing a mono record with a stereo cartridge will create distortion because it is trying to pick-up the vertical (stereo) part of the signal, whereas this is not intended to be heard on a mono record and so is just noise.  Using a pre-amp with a mono switch will eliminate the noise caused by vertical modulation leaving just the lateral groove signal which is how the record was intended to be heard. If you do not have a mono switch on your amp or pre-amp you will be reproducing the noise from the vertical part of the signal and so the record will not sound as good. This is not any fault of the record, it is inherent to playing any mono record through a system that it was not designed for.   Guide to grades used

Near Mint

Disc- The record has been played and has light marks &/or hairline scratches and paper scuffs.

Very good
Cover - Moderate edge/spine or ring wear. Corners may be a little blunt. Opening edge may show feathering caused by removal of record. Visible creases or laminate lift. Localised sticker removal damage.
Disc - The record has been played frequently and has noticeable surface marks, occasional light scratches and paper scuffs.

Good
Cover - Heavy ring or edge/spine wear. Corners noticeable bashed. Heavy creases. Considerable laminate/surface damage.
Disc - The record looks very well played and the sound quality has probably deteriorated noticeably. A lot of surface marks/scratches. Usually used as collection filler   I am not a dealer but an amateur collector selling duplicated items or records that I no longer want to keep (mostly due to space). Unless indicated in the listing the records have been only visually inspected.
