THE VELVET UNDERGROUND S/T "THE CLOSET MIX" PRESSING 1971 U.K. Auction ends 10 pm EST August 11th The Velvet Underground – The Velvet Underground MGM Records – 2353 022, MGM Records – 2353022 Vinyl LP Reissue UK Oct 1971 Two mixes of this LP exist. MGM engineer Val Valentin completed a clean, bright, evenly balanced mix, but Lou Reed made an alternate (so called closet) mix. Whereas Valentin's mix was used for the earlier 1969 UK issue, Reed's mix was used here. Lou cranked up his guitar parts and Sterling said this mix sounded like it was recorded in "A closet" hence the nickname!!! "Some Kinda Love" is actually a different take. Vinyl is EX a few faint paper marks visible under direct light on side A. Very glossy and shiny and zero spindle marks on the super clean labels Cover is VG+ the usual edge and corner and edge wear on a all black cover Some kind of weird mark on the front that looks like a print error Generic inner sleeve USA OR EBAY GLOBAL SHIPPING only RAPID SHIPPING AND SECURE PACKING
