The Glenn Miller Story (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Jazz Big Band Swing 10" LP (1956)
Good 10-inch New Zealand import. The Universal-International Studio Orchestra conducted by Joseph Gershenson.
This Universal-International motion picture (1954, dir. Anthony Mann) starred James Stewart, June Allyson and Louis Armstrong.
Condition Vinyl: G. Looks very clean on visual inspection. A few light hairline scuffs on each side and some residue in the runout areas – but nothing major. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is good throughout. This album has enjoyed many places and there is some mild surface noise throughout. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking.
Outer Sleeve (Cover): VG-EX. Colours clear and unfaded. Laminated front. Edges and spine are in fantastic condition. Aperture shows only light wear. Corners are lightly nicked as well. Minor creases in from spine. Reverse side flipbacks present and attached though bottom right corner peeling off. Disc ring impression visible and round sticker residue in top left. Date handwritten by original owner at top. A great example overall.
Inner Sleeve: VG. Clear plastic D-shaped sleeve. Minor creases/folds through normal handling but no splits.
