Double LP set from Aphrodite's Child titled "666" reissued by Vertigo (VEL-2-500) in 1974. Third and final album from Greek psych/progressive rock group Aphrodite's Child originally released in 1972 after much delay. Keyboardist Vangelis Papathanassiou pushed the band away from their successful psych-pop style to this complex concept opus about an apocalyptic circus based on the The Apocalypse Of John 13/18 from The Book Of Revelations of the Bible. Very intense and dynamic recordings that are progressive rock with some psychedelic flavors and a bit of Greek tradition that sneaks through the arrangements. Excellent!

All labels are in EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT condition. Both vinyl records are in VERY GOOD to VERY GOOD+ condition with nice luster, a manufactured vinyl divot on the second track of Side 1 that plays through with light noise, some surface scuff marks and light sleeve scratches (no gouges). Both records play with some surface noise and stray tics but retain excellent fidelity...still sound great! Gatefold cover is in VERY GOOD condition with wear at corners, edgewear, ringwear, small splits at top right corners on both panels and there is moderate surface wear from storage.

All vinyl albums are shipped in protective cardboard mailers with cardboard flats and bubble wrap for safe shipping.
