Freddie King is a lesser-known Chicago blues guy, born in '34 and did most of his recordings in the '50s and '60s. Sadly, he died young in the 1970s, but what a great body of work he left! This dude is sensational, and this generous album, the best of his Federal/King recordings from the early 1960s, is a revelation. We play tested this whole album, and what a great listen it was.
Excellent sound quality. Vinyl is nice and glossy, no marks/damage or issues save that the label on Side 2 didn't settle onto the vinyl properly. Pic included. It plays beautifully; side one's great, side two had a little occasional quiet surface noise. No skips, no big repetitive scratches/pops, and so we grade it VG+.
Jacket is also VG+. It's pure white, hard to keep clean obviously, but apart from some ring wear visible on the front, it's clean as a whistle. No tags, no writing, no stains, clean, smells fine. The top seam is separated; not split, just a glue failure which can be reglued.
We send LPs via USPS media mail, very safely packed. We can send up to 5-6 albums in one box, at base $6 shipping price plus $1 for each additional disc. We play test most of our albums and our grading reflects that. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
