Grading

Record: VG+; discs are clean, have seen very little handling or play, some staining and a light scuff or mark only visible under a bright light; playback is great with some light rustling or static audible here and there , not constant/ consistent or throughout all sides . Overall, great player copy with lyric sleeves

Cover: VG; cover has some aging and wear but all seams are intactGrading Policy

I adhere to the Goldmine grading system and will give specifics about visual and play condition to justify my grading. Here is a quick rundown of how I grade both LPs/ 45s.

Ex : excellent condition; almost never given for a vintage used record unless there appear to be no marks or blemishes, gloss and lustre is strong; visually appears unplayed. Play should be almost flawless. Cover may be in shrink or show almost no wear.

VG+: great listening largely without any surface noise; play condition should be considered slight or better with some rare clicks, rustling in a few places allowed; visually these records may have a few scuffs or hairlines that cannot be felt and do not affect play. Covers will have all seams completely intact and little to no wear or damage.

VG: still should be a very good listening experience; many vintage, used records fall in this category and are still highly collectible, especially when rare and hard to find. Records in VG condition typically have more than a few scuffs and hairlines that can be noticed on sight, but not covering the whole record and not deep scratches that are feelable. Most VG records will play with some noise throughout that does not overpower the music. VG covers still have all seams intact but may have more general wear or small seam splitting starting in a place or two.

VG-: VG- minus records often sound as nice as VG records with noticeable, but not overly distracting surface noise. They will have slightly more visual condition with a higher density of scuffs, marks and wear OR a up to a couple scratches that are feelable, but do not cause play issues including loud pops or skips/jumps. Covers in this condition may have more splitting that has been repaired or easily apparent damage/staining etc, despite being physically intact.

G+: This grading is reserved for records with significant visual or play condition including louder, more consistent noise, a lot of scuffing and marks, or some scratches that are feelable, can minimally affect play, but do not cause jumps or skips. When played, a G+ record has noise that is distracting with loud crackles or pops. Covers in this condition may have significant seam splitting, damage to front/back cover, etc.
