Elvis Costello was as much a pub rocker as he was a punk rocker and nowhere is that more evident than on his debut, My Aim Is True. It's not just that Clover, a San Franciscan rock outfit led by Huey Lewis (absent here), back him here, not the Attractions; it's that his sensibility is borrowed from the pile-driving rock & roll and folksy introspection of pub rockers like Brinsley Schwarz, adding touches of cult singer/songwriters like Randy Newman and David Ackles. Then, there's the infusion of pure nastiness and cynical humor, which is pure Costello.

Tracks : Welcome to the working week/ Miracle man/ No dancing/ Blame it on cain/ Alison/ Sneaky feelings/ (The angels wanna wear my) red shoes/ Less than zero/ Mystery dance/ Pay it back/ I'm not angry/ Waiting for the end of the world (watching the detectives).

  There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that cause some crackles and is in VG+ condition. Cover has light ring wear, some light marks and a seam split on centre bottom edge and is in VG+ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
