MULTIPLE PURCHASES: Buying multiple items saves greatly on shipping charges.
The US Postal Service rates change at least once per year. Nevertheless, the Ebay shipping calculator will always show the current shipping charge for any single item, to any place in the world.
USA Customers: Media Mail shipping is by far the most economical. You pay the Media Mail rate for the first LP – and everything else added to that shipment receives free shipping. You can buy one LP, 50 LPs, or a conglomeration of vinyl, CDs and books – you only pay the Media mail charge for the first LP.
USA Customers wishing to buy multiple items by Priority Mail will also receive a shipping price break. You will need to contact us with a list of the items you are considering, and your Zip Code. We promise a speedy price quote response.
Overseas Customers: Cost varies by country, but buying multiple items saves. For a price quote, you will need to state your country and a list of the items you are considering. We promise a quick response.
GRADING: We have collected records since 1967. We understand grading, and grade conservatively under a single-point incandescent light. Our grading scale is: NM, EX, VG+, VG, VG-, G, P (NM = Near Mint, EX = Excellent, VG = Very Good, G = Good, P = Poor ). With some distinctions listed here, our NM, VG+ and VG grades are similar to those described by Neely and Osborne in their price guides. We never use the MINT grade in mail order business, and we've dropped a couple of the lower end grades (How many grades of "bad" do you need?). And, we've added EX as an intermediate grade between NM and VG+.
RECORDS: Unless otherwise stated, we do NOT play-grade vinyl. A vinyl grade is a visual grade of the recorded playing surface. Label damage, writing, or stickers, if any, will be noted separately.
COVERS: The grade given is for front and back surface, irrespective of cut corners, stickers, taped seams, or split seams. These defects, if they exist, will be noted separately. (If we do not mention cut corners, stickers, taped seams, or split seams, there are none on the cover.)
ENCLOSURES (if any): Significant enclosures (e.g., pictures, posters, lyric sheets, etc.) will be noted, with conditions.
PAYMENT INFORMATION: We ask that successful bidders or store customers pay within 72 hours of receiving invoice. If this is not possible please contact us to make other arrangements.
ALL CUSTOMERS – Domestic and Overseas: PayPal ONLY.
PACKAGING: Our packaging technology and materials are the best in the business (check our feedback). Our record mailers are constructed of high grade WHITE cardboard, and designed specifically for vinyl records. White is important in case the Post Office leaves the package exposed to the sun – a record in our white package remains many degrees cooler than a record in brown cardboard. The vinyl is shipped in a poly-lined inner sleeve and is separate from the cover (except for factory sealed items). Poly outer sleeves and cardboard inserts make an inner package that holds the record and cover firmly, allowing no slippage. Surrounding the inner package is the white mailer, taped snugly with clear tape (we want only white showing) so that nothing inside slips, vibrates or rattles. Your delicate record completes the journey in the same condition it started.
SHIPPING AND HANDLING: We’re trying to be fair with shipping fees. Obviously, orders vary, but our S&H charge is based on an estimated shipping weight, plus $1.00 for packaging. There’s the white mailer, cardboard pads, poly-lined inner sleeve, poly outer sleeve, packaging tape, and the shipping invoice - for a single LP these total up to $1.77. And there’s gas for the daily trip to the Post Office. If we overestimate a shipping weight, and you overpay, we will refund the difference to make it right. Please take all these factors into account when rating us on appropriateness of shipping and handling charges.
FEEDBACK: We do not believe it appropriate to leave feedback until the transaction is complete. Completion occurs when you receive your purchase, and signify satisfaction by giving positive feedback. Once we know you’re satisfied, we’ll leave positive feedback.
