BreakupOn October 8, 2007, Hot Rod Circuit announced that they would be parting ways after ten years together. The band made this statement on Myspace, "Yes it is true this will be the last Hot Rod Circuit tour. Thank you so much for coming to shows and buying our records for the past ten years. It has been a blast and we have made so many friends and fans and we will miss you all. Stay tuned for more info on what everyone from hrc is up to. I will be sure to keep you posted. Oh and thanks to everyone over in Australia for showing us a good time. Thank you so much Andy, Hot Rod Circuit Please pass this along and come enjoy the farewell tour..." Hot Rod Circuit went on to play a small 8 date east coast farewell tour. Hot Rod Circuit played their last show to a sold out crowd at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT.
ReunionOn February 10, 2011, it was confirmed that Hot Rod Circuit will be reuniting for a one-off performance at the in , with future plans uncertain. Following Jackson's departure from his other band on April 20, 2011, speculation raised that the band's reunion might be full-time, with more shows to follow Krazy Fest. On September 1, 2011, it was announced that Hot Rod Circuit would embark on a short 8 date tour of the US in November, and will also release a new limited edition EP with three songs - two originals entitled "Forgive Me" and "Into the Sun" and a cover of 's "Sucked Out".
The Anniversary was an American band formed in in 1997 by , James David, Christian Jankowski, and . The Anniversary was the solidification of a line-up that had been in flux for a year. After two years of playing shows across with the Midwest with bands that included , and , The Anniversary signed to Vagrant Records.
Originally perceived as a , keyboard-driven band with the release of their debut album Designing A Nervous Breakdown in 2000, they developed a stronger, classic rock influenced sound with the release of a split CD with in 2001 and their second full length, 2002’s Your Majesty. After touring heavily throughout 2002 and 2003, The Anniversary began demoing tracks for what would be their third full length. But four years of constant touring and personal strains within the group led to the band’s demise in early 2004.
Four and a half years after their breakup, Devil on our Side – a compilation of b-sides and unreleased tracks – was released by . A companion documentary is expected in late 2008.
