LINCOLN MAYORGA Distinguished Colleagues Volume 3 (Sheffield Lab-1) Audiophile MINT!

This original US first pressing of Lincoln Mayorga & Distinguished Colleagues` "Volume III" was released on Sheffield Lab of Santa Barbara (1974). The first of Sheffield`s audiophile recordings (Sheffield Lab-1), it established the label`s reputation as a prime address for discerning vinyl lovers worldwide.

The LIMITED EDITION direct-to-disc audiophile recording contains a number of mainstream jazz classics, as well as stunning versions of Stevie Wonder`s "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" and Paul McCartney`s "My Love", amongst others.

Among the "distinguished colleagues" are: Lincoln Mayorga (keyboards), Larry Knechtel (bass), Mike Deasy and Mike Anthony (guitars), Victor Feldman (percussion, vibraphone), as well as Jim Keltner (drums). The horn section includes such luminaries as Plas Johnson (saxophones). Engineered by Bill Schnee.

GRADING:

VG++ COVER with a bit of wear to bottom edge, from storage. Some superficial scuffing to the rear cover. Please see photos for details.

Also includes the original insert in German and French, added to import copies by the German distributor.

MINT- RECORD with very light hairlining from sleeve removal only. Having been played a few times, the record has very sporadic background crackle between tracks, as well as one single light "pop" (in "Legrand Medley").

Original white Sheffield Lab labels, as found on US first pressings exclusively.
