Description:
Last year I purchased the remaining stock from a few distros and record stores that closed down. Now I have too many boxes of LPs. I am offering this lot of 14 LPs at a reduced price with free Media Mail shipping in the US. These bands all play hardcore and punk with varying degrees of political or personal lyrics.
If you're looking to add to your collection of vinyl, this is a great place to start.

APEFACE LP (1997 Hopscotch #4 / Farmhouse Records #11) Apeface are, so to speak, the missing link in the extensive catalogue of NorCal/Bay Area hardcore. Before the message-board punks shat out the term "neo-crust," bands like Apeface were ornamenting their hard-line political punk with the "emotive" tendencies of more modern bands they'd probably rather not acknowledge as influences. Expect no flaccid indie rock crossover here, though: this is furious hardcore but with fairly intricate interplay between the guitars and bass (nods to Econochrist are not subtle).

FACADE BURNED BLACK - Ashen Remains Of Midwestern Flames LP (1999 Clean Plate Records CP21) Slow, powerful, bludgeoning hardcore with a very heavy beat and harsh screaming from Virginia's Facade Burned Black. The lyrics are cryptic and dark and they make use of a lot of sound bites and samples. Six originals with the seventh track being a cover of Citizens Arrest's "Utopia." Oppressive and desperate. Transparent green wax.

INDEX FOR POTENTIAL SUICIDE - The Newest Youth Rebellion LP (2002 Insolito Records 07) Originally released on CD by Ohev, The Newest Youth Rebellion finally makes it on to vinyl. Index for Potential Suicide combine experimental sounds with the extremities of noisy, discordant hardcore. Powerful, pissed, and chaotic - for fans of Dillinger Escape Plan, The Locust, and Prevail (an ex member of Prevail played on this LP). Guest appearances by Eric Wood of Man Is The Bastard and Neil Burke of Men's Recovery Project and Sinking Body.
RAA RAA RAAAAAARGH!!! Need more? Oh ok then. While initially, they may seem like Locust rip offs, I now feel against it. This record on the whole is definitely unlike The Locust. Sure. It has those screamy piercing vocals and if you're into that harsh, hearing - impaired music, you would definitely dig this one. While The Locust are more complex and abstract in their song writing, IFPS are more direct and straight forward. In 'Eat Lightning Crap Thunder' they deviate the mood from pounding grind to blatant hardcore-ish spazziness. Leading me to think it's a new song altogether. (I think if this was The Locust, they would make it a separate track just lasting 30 seconds) Should I stop making Locust comparisons? No I shouldn't because in track 11, they kick off with an eerie keyboard piece and goes along with those crazy sampling effects. Which sounds all too familar now. We also have Eric Wood (Man Is The Bastard) guest vocaling on 'Global Injustice'. Roaring away then followed by someone screeching. Is this a man or a woman? Gosh, I don't know but it sure is scary. Lyrically, they seem to be dealing with political issues."we've been murdered...the politicians' bloody hands responsible for swinging the axe..." "fuck your sugar coated solutions they make me sick..." But really? Would you know? But we all need lyrics. Don't deny the fact. So I guess if you're into Reversal Of Man, The Red Scare, Orchid etc, (oh, did I mention The Loust?) this should fit into your bill pretty nicely. Definitely raw, powerful and worth checking out. ' - Collective Zine

INTENSITY - The Ruins Of Our Future LP (2001 Deranged Records DY18) Powerful and hard hitting thrashcore from this seasoned hardcore outfit. The lyrics are political and the music is fast and furious with plenty of style. Fifteen original tracks as well as a cover of Citizens Arrest's "In The Distance." Awesome hardcore.

KNOW SECRETS - 12" (2013 301 Collective 003) San Francisco's KNOW SECRETS features members of such prominent bay area acts as PUNCH, STATIC THOUGHT, and GREAT APES. KNOW SECRETS combines the riff stylings and heavy tones of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE with the melodic vocal delivery and DIY ethos of FUGAZI and REFUSED, resulting in 5 songs of stripped-down melodic rock/punk, with elements of indie and post-hardcore woven together seamlessly. The Self Titled 12” EP includes a 180-gram 'Bronze' Colored Vinyl, enclosed in a heavyweight uncoated jacket with a lyric sheet and a download card.

MASSMORD / SHADES OF GREY - split LP (2008 Nakkeskudd Plater NXSXP-011 / Blindead Productions DEAD 010 / Contraszt! Records #12 / Profane Existence EXIST 108 / Vex Records VEX 007) Two intense hardcore crust bands from Stockholm, Sweden team up for a powerhouse new split album. MASSMORD have current/former members of such bands as DEUNGA, ARTICLE NINE, BEYOND PINK and VÅBIG 5 and have previously released two albums and have established a reputation for delivering high quality, down-tuned hardcore punk (they have been compared to "WOLFBRIGADE and TO WHAT END? mixed with some FROM ASHES RISE and KYLESA."). SHADES OF GREY share the other side of this split and are the perfect match, both musically and ideologically speaking. Having only previously released a demo, this will be the band's first large-scale release. Both bands have excellent recording production with an absolutely huge sound. Prepare to be blown away!

MINUTES - Narrations About The God Of Dogs 12" (2013 Good Intentions HC GIHC.001) From Mönchengladbach and Düsseldorf, Germany. Energetic and slightly chaotic hardcore with a punk hint. Reminiscent of bands on Gravity or Ebullition. Single-sided 12" with etching on the b-side. Pressing of 250.

MURDER DISCO X - Ground Zero Stuttgart LP (2005 Profane Existence EXIST 087) This is what what happens if you take two grumpy old men, an expatriate Portlander, notorius for being in great bands, and a travelling Kiwi stuck in South-West Germany and lock them up in a practice room and a van. This record catches MDX shortly after their Balkan experience, delivering 12 tracks of no frills, no bullshit, adrenaline-overdosed, pissed Hardcore Punk (and we mean that!) with the occasional hook. You hate the cops, the imperialist warmachine, religious wingnuts of all fractions, earth rapers and assholes in general? Welcome to the club - this is your soundtrack to sing along to! Has the first - 1929 - "DIS" song ever written in Punk Rock history and comes with a TERVEET KADET and an ARM THE INSANE cover. MDX decided a long time ago that they are too old to die young and chose to rock the hell out of it instead - with almost 100 years of Punk Rock Experience by this bunch of old time scenesters you can expect the formula to be nailed down. For those of you that are gasping for some name dropping: features Ex- and current members of BELCHING BEET, SEVERED HEAD OF STATE, ENDROPHOBIA, CLUSTER BOMB UNIT, SUICIDE BLITZ, DETESTATION and of course current and future Ex-members of MURDER DISCO X!

PROTESTANT - Reclamation 12" (2012 Halo Of Flies HALO50 / Chaos Rurale Records CR013) Dark hardcore punk from Milwaukee, WI.

SICK/TIRED - King Of Dirt LP (2013 Cowabunga Records CBR-58) Chicago's SICK/TIRED (ex WEEKEND NACHOS / MK ULTRA) play blazing FAST hardcore/grindcore with the best elements of death metal and punk/hardcore woven in. This is their fifth release (2013) and second full length album / last with original vocalist. Sixteen tracks of lo-fi grinding fury at it's finest.

SLEEPER CELL LP (2005 Partners In Crime PIC-027) From the ashes of BALANCE OF TERROR, Boston's SLEEPER CELL continue on with their efforts to play the best Tennessee-influenced hardcore possible. This offering is the band's debut full-length and is 12 songs of DEATHREAT and NO PARADE-styled hardcore-punk.

THE SOUND OF FAILURE - The Party Is Over LP (2002 Ed Walters Records EW#15 / When Humans Attack! WHA-04) Moving on after the Distress Signal 7" and the split 7" with The Great Clearing Off, The Sound of Failure releases thier new full length LP, their strongest effort to date. "The Party Is Over" offers up 14 songs of noisy, abrasive hardcore. Fast, chaotic blasts give way to heavy, pounding, noisy breakdowns. Lyrically, The Sound of Failure paints bleak, desperate pictures of intensely personal paranoia and terror. Grey marbled wax.

TARRAKIAN - The Swarm 12" (2007 No Options Records NO-011) The debut of San Francisco female fronted stoner rock upstarts Tarrakian mixes haunting ambience with shrill rocking melody and sharp rhythm and focus. Adding elements of metal, crust, doom, and avant-garde acts to create a sound that is discernable and adventurous. Although this is their first output the musicianship and recording quality is fine-tuned giving them a confident layered sound. Amazing artwork by Andrei Bozikov who has worked with the likes of Municipal Waste and Phobia. Runtime is 19:58.

UNITED SUPER VILLAINS - Chokeslammed Back To Life! LP (2000 Deranged Records DY05) Another fast thrashing hardcore record from Wisconsin's U.S.V.; you might remember the thrasher they did on Havoc Records. The music is fast and furious but all the weird movie sound bites add a sense of comedy to the approach, but the U.S.V. lyrical content is quite good (even a song telling people to read the god damn lyric sheets!). This is a good record, and I would say anyone that likes D.S.13 or Code 13 is going to like this as well (not that U.S.V. sounds like either of these bands, but the same people that dig those bands will dig U.S.V.). Thrash on!

Item Condition:
The records are all new and unplayed. They have been languishing in distro boxes or bins for years. They might have some edge wear (especially at the top) and minor corner bends. Price stickers (if any) are on the plastic sleeve, not the cover.
Some of these records come with download codes. Even though the codes have never been used, the website (like the band or the label) may be long gone.
