Debut 12" for this Vancouver band who have a really powerful take on jittery, angular post-punk. These guys recently toured with the almighty Pollution and held their own in a live setting, which should tell you how much this band crushes live. That sound is finally captured perfectly on this 12"... I'm kind of at a loss to describe the music. The rhythms are complex yet incredibly propulsive, and the guitar playing is so inventive and weird that I just get lost listening to it. This is definitely one of my favorite records of 2010... if you still pull out records by bands like Gang of Four, the Fall, or even early Fugazi you should really give this a chance.
