This is an auction for an Original copy of the EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND 1959 EP release ELVIS PRESLEY - A TOUCH OF GOLD  released in the USA.

The record itself (EPA-5088 MAROON LABEL dog on top) is ONLY in  GOOD- ( Good minus) condition with numerous marks/scratches.

The centre labels have ringwear/scuff marks and a plaster on one side but NO WRITING but remember that this is the extremely rare Maroon label(see photos)

The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $150 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is VERY GOOD+)for the sleeve alone!!!

This sleeve is over 53 years old and is in reasonable condition for the age.

There are NO RIPS, TEARS or WRITING(see photos)

This 1st edition printed sleeve is much RARER as this has the A Touch Of Gold printed on the LEFT side of the sleeve.

This was because the word OF was missing from the original test pressings and they then wedged the word OF on the far left of the sleeve between the word Touch and Gold. This was later corrected and centered for further pressings.

The only things that stop this from grading even higher is the start of a seam split on the side and bottom and a few pieces of plaster on the rear (why?)(see photos)

THIS ONE RARELY COMES UP FOR SALE AND IS THE ONLY ORIGINAL COPY OF THE MAROON LABEL I HAVE EVER SOLD IN 9 YEARS OF SELLING ON EBAY!!!!!!

This is a really affordable addition to fill any collection!.

PLEASE REMEMBER THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD IF/WHEN PLACING A BID!

THE RECORD WILL ONLY SERVE AS A COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THAT $400 MINT COPY COMES ALONG!!!!!!

The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this RARE sleeve!!

Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $250+(£170 approx) .I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £180+.

THIS REALLY IS A HARD TO FIND TO SLEEVE!!!

A MINT COPY OF THE RECORD AND SLEEVE WOULD SET YOU BACK $500+(£320+)

With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
