Christie Front Drive was an / band formed in in . Citing as influences , , and , the lineup consisted of Ron Marschall (drums), Jason Begin (guitar), Kerry McDonald (bass) and Eric Richter (guitar and vocals).

The band released a self-titled EP and a 7" on in . The two Freewill Records albums and several 7" were later combined and released as a self-titled full length album (commonly referred to as ""). In , Christie Front Drive released split records with , Sineater, and . They also contributed to several compilation albums including (Don't Forget To) Breathe from . The band broke up in and their only official full length, a self-titled album commonly called "Stereo," was released posthumously by .

Despite their short tenure, Christie Front Drive became a major influence on emo music in the 90's. Richter resurfaced in the bands Antarctica, The 101, and Golden City, and both Marschall and Begin went on to form The Blue Ontario. Marschall was also credited as an engineer on the 's album, . Jason Begin is currently performing under the name as well as the Portland based band and the random appearance with .

Christie Front Drive reunited on , at the Marquis Theater in Denver as part of . All four original members participated.

Boy's Life was an American band from , formed in 1993. Members would go on to , , and . Brandon Butler has also released several albums of solo material under his own name.
