LORD ANTICS & THE MONTEGONIANS Lucy's Garden JAMAICA LP mento calypso 60's rare! Rare original Jamaican private pressing stereo LP from the 1960's on Antics Disc.

Featuring Lord Antics on vocal and guitar, with The Montegonians playing banjo, bass, violin, drums, harmonica and maracas. (Mento is a style of Jamaican folk music that predates and has greatly influenced ska and reggae music. Mento typically features acoustic instruments, such as acoustic guitar, banjo, hand drums, and the rhumba box — a large mbira in the shape of a box that can be sat on while played. The rhumba box carries the bass part of the music. Mento is often confused with calypso, a musical form from Trinidad and Tobago. Although the two share many similarities, they are separate and distinct musical forms.)

Comes in unusual original hand made thin-card sleeve with printed paper sheets glued on both sides, taped side edges and album title hand-written on front!

Vinyl is generally in excellent condition and hasn't been played much. There is one small surface mark/pressing plant defect at the very start of side 1, although this only causes a few light clicks and crackles during the opening seconds and then just an occasional quiet tick during the first half of the song, which is hardly noticeable.
Labels are nice and clean with hardly any spindle marks visible.
Sleeve in very good+/excellent condition - still nicely intact and clean looking with just a bit of wear on the edges.
