Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room. This week’s auctions feature my progressive and psychedelic records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!

On offer, an extremely rare 1st German pressing of Chris McGregor’s Brotherhood of Breath on the RCA NEON label, cat. no. NE 2.

Side 1 of the record is in VG condition, there is a skip at the start of this side because of a nasty scratch. Besides this scratch, side 1 plays EX through with only a few pops here and there. Side 2 of the record is in EX condition with only a couple non-sounding hairlines. The labels are in EX condition, there are a few spindle marks only.

The cover , strangely enough a U.K. printed one, is in VG condition, there is a coloured in sticker tear in the top section of the front, just above the artist’s name. There is also a some light rubbing and ring wear on both front and back. The spine has a couple bald spots here and there but is still legible. Besides mentioned damage, this cover looks presentable to me; no writing or other unwanted damage.

Although not in a dream Mint condition, this first (and only) German release of Chris McGregor’s Brotherhood of Breath very hard to find. Also worth mentioning that some great musicians from the early 1970’s jazz scene co-operated on this album, Alan Skidmore, John Surman and Assagai’s Dudu Pukwana for instance. So, if you are a big fan of Chris McGregor and company,  an RCA NEON collector or a progressive jazz music fan, this album is real must have! Happy Bidding!
