This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Hound Dog / Don't Be Cruel released in the USA.

The record itself (47-6604 ) is visually in EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ condition and retains a lot of it's natural sheen .

There are a few visible marks/scratches , but nothing deep or drastic. 

The labels are CRISP, CLEAN and have NO WRITING.(see photos)

This is the RARE issue WITHOUT THE HORIZONTAL LINE. (you could say that this is the equivilant of the U.K HMV Silver lettering release)

The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $80 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is EXCELLENT- ) for the sleeve alone!!!

This was the 2nd issued picture sleeve issued for an Elvis release and has 2 GREAT photos (see photos) 

THIS IS THE RARER RELEASE WITH Don't Be Cruel ON TOP (rather than the 1st issued with Hound Dog on top)

The images are quite nice there NO SPLITS, RIPS,TEARS or WRITING!

The only thing that stops this from grading higher is some age discolouration/ browning. (see photos)

Overall a couple of years ago this was valued at $100 (£67) for the record and sleeve.

I will start this at under HALF of THAT!!!

This, as with ALL of my picture sleeve releases comes housed in a separate paper sleeve containing the record and a protective poly sleeve to help prevent ny further future wear!!

With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
