Armed with a voice that’s distinctive and timeless in equal measure, her sophomore may have taken its time to arrive, but early indications suggest it’ll only accelerate her ascent.

Indeed, the record has already been described as “a bit Palola [Faith] and a bit Nina Simone,” while comparisons have also been leveled to the likes of Lianne La Havas, Laura Mvula and Amy Winehouse.
