MINT ......  A PERFECT RECORD,   NO MARKS, SCUFFS , ETC  (A NEW OR UNPLAYED RECORD)  NO USED/OPEN  RECORD WARRANTS THIS GRADE.    

NEAR MINT (NM).......A GREAT RECORD!    POSSIBLY A FEW LIGHT MARKS OR SCUFFS .  VINYL HAS HIGH GLOSS.    LABELS ARE VERY CLEAN .  LOOKS LIKE NEW.  ALBUM COVER IS IN VERY GOOD TO MINT CONDITION.  SHOULD PLAY WITH NO TO VERY MINIMAL SURFACE NOISE.  

EXCELLENT/VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)......USED AND PLAYED (NOT ABUSED).  LIGHT SCRATCHES AND/OR SCUFFS ON VINYL. LABELS ARE VERY CLEAN,  NONE OR VERY FEW MINOR DEFECTS . MAY HAVE MINIMAL SURFACE NOISE WHEN PLAYED. ALBUM COVER HAS A FEW DEFECTS. A FINE COLLECTIBLE RECORD!      

VERY GOOD (VG) ........ A NICE RECORD!   LOOKS A LITTLE MORE USED .   VINYL  HAS SOME SCRATCHES, COULD PLAY WITH SOME BACKGROUND / SURFACE NOISE. LABEL SHOWS MINOR RING WEAR ,  ALBUM COVER HAS MORE WEARING BUT STILL PROTECTS THE VINYL INSIDE. 

VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-) ........ A LITTLE ROUGH BUT STILL PLAYS WITHOUT SKIPPING.  BACKGROUND NOISE IS NOTICEABLE START TO FINISH.  LABEL MAY HAVE HEAVY WEAR AND TEAR OR WRITING.  ALBUM COVER HAS VERY EVIDENT DEFECTS.   WILL FILL A HOLE IN YOUR COLLECTION UNTIL BETTER COMES ALONG.
