Jack White of The White Stripes and Third Man Records is the lucky owner of an original copy of Elvis Presley's earliest recording - "My Happiness / That's When Your Heartache Begins" - Recorded in Memphis by Sun Recording Service in July 1953 - 78 rpm.
Thankfully Jack White is a very generous man and decided this year for Record Store Day to reissue this historic record - a facsimile recording - 10 inch - with facsimile labels - in a plain manila sleeve - 78 rpm. The sound quality is a little noisy - this is not a defect in manufacturing - it is from the recording source and is to be expected according to Jack White.
