More than five years in the making, th bulk of Shana Cleveland & The Sandcastles’ debut was recorded in Shana’s basement.
“I wanted it to sound casual and kind of loose like my favorite folk albums, so we didn’t practice much before recording and a few of the musicians were playing the songs for the first time,” the La Luz frontwoman claims.
Operating within its own sense of time, Oh Man, Cover the Ground’s breezy air and hub of softly-stated melodies are beautifully expressed through a range of instrumentation, and according to Shana are “meant to be played in quiet places.”
Available exclusively through independent stores, this strictly limited LP is pressed on lake blue vinyl, and also includes a download code.
