Description:
Last year I purchased the remaining stock from a few distros and record stores that closed down. Now I have too many boxes of 7"s. I am offering this lot of 30 EPs at a reduced price. These bands play political hardcore punk and crust.

ABRUPT - My Crematorium 7" (2011 Burnt Bridges Records BBR 004) Another installment from these Northern Cali Veterans (members of SCURVY DOGS, BORN/DEAD, and DESOLATION). Blistering political hardcore from Oakland. Discernible female/male vocals with dynamic melody buildups and breakdowns. Excellent fast paced execution lending to perpetuation of this hardcore-punk style proving that this isn't an obsolete and boring effort. Heads and shoulders above the rest.

BLACK MERINOS 7" (2002 Hyperrealist HR000) Recorded in 1997 and originally slated for release in 1998 on the Passive Fist label, this recording finally sees the light of day. Black Merinos are a side project from many members of In/Humanity. Their sound is heavy, resonating, and full of droning hardcore. This powerfully noise 7" deals with the personal and political issues. A one time only release, this 7" will never be pressed again.

CHILDREN OF BARREN WASTELAND 7" (1996 Profane Existence EXIST 038/ Skuld Releases 038) Twin Cities crust. Purple wax.

CHRONICLE A/D - Enough Rats In The Walls...And The Empires Fall 7" (2004 Hyperrealist HR008) This three piece features members and ex-members of Antischism, Initial State and Karst playing a powerful mix of dark, brooding hardcore and classic peace punk with dual vocals and definite political overtones.

DAWN / BRAINWRECK 7" (Meat Cube Label 04 / Anti-Corp 18) All the speed, rage, and pissed off aggression you can stand, condensed into short bursts of sonic annihilation. Dawn pounds out 8 of their trademark downtuned hardcore anthems. Flip the disc and Brainwreck spews 5 blazing tracks of no-compromise powerviolence

DEATHBAG - 7" (2002 Get The Axe GTA8 / Hemorrhaging Loudness HL-2) Hardcore from NY with a RAW POWER influence.

DIVIDE & CONQUER - Cop Corpse Bonfire EP 7" (1998 Ginger LIb Europe GL-001) Hardcore from NC released on a French label.

EVOLVED TO OBLITERATION 7" (1996 Clean Plate 11) Classic 1990s CA hardcore / power violence with Max from Spazz on vocals. Colored wax.

EXALTED - Eyes Rolled Back 7" (2009 Deer Healer DHR-008) A gushing, dripping army of disease lurches a few final steps before sprinting towards a village doomed to filth, sickness, and the merciless attention of its attackers. Hapless citizens cast aside their pitchforks and submit to the inevitable— their eyes roll back and bulge in virulent defeat. The Grim Throng has come, has slashed, has hammered, has fed. On this fierce, hissing release from Deer Healer, Exalted scrapes the Earth pure with this ravenous assault on humankind. Black metal from Chicago. Members of MK Ultra, Charles Bronson, Nema, Ottawa, Punch In The Face, and many more.

FINAL MASSAKRE - The Bells Of Hell Toll The Final Chime 7" (1999 Tribal War 035) Full Metal Jacket D-Beat Raw Punk from Portland, OR

F.I.O.M. - The Way Ahead Is Very Narrow 7" (Forest Records 09) Japanese hardcore

GUIDE - Bastard 7" (2011 Anti-Corporate Music / Burnt Bridges) Down-tuned breakneck hardcore and thrash from Murfreesboro TN. Crossing styles from 80s hardcore to powerviolence to straight up thrash metal 6 tracks in 9 minutes.

HUBRIS - Base Desire 7" (2011 Cricket Cemetery numbereight) (Members of State Violence, ex Death Rats) Laying down a litany of anger against an unjust world, Hubris comes thrashing up from the lost landscapes of Washington, DC to herald a terrifying battle cry for the pound of flesh owed to the dispossesed. Blown out and brutal beyond description, this solemn mob hurls the razorwire along the spine of such other unappologetically angry crust merchants as His Hero is Gone, Tragedy, and From Ashes Rise. Pressing of 300.

HUNTED DOWN - Life's Womb EP 7" (2012 Video Disease Records VD 15) Debut 7" from this Syracuse band. I liked their demo tape but recall thinking that the raw recording did more harm than good for them, but the tracks on this 7" hit me in all the right spots. As the label's description notes, the tortured vocals definitive recall dark Japanese bands like Kuro or G-Zet, but the music is definitely denser and more straightforwardly HC than either of those bands. A lot of times this kind of full-bore noisy HC attack can blend into a big mass with no sense of differentiation, but something about the way that Hunted Down pull it off really works for me, pushing things relentlessly forward with a metronomic jackhammer beat that is almost hypnotic. I'm not sure how much of this is intentional, but I'm digging it pretty hard. On bone white splattered wax.

KAROSHI - 7" (2009 Anti-Corporate Music Inc ACM-13 / Meat Cube Label MC03) Brooding and disturbed, rising to subtle crescendos and blistering climaxes, Karoshi unleash their first manifesto on the earth. Following in the legacy of Tennesse crust, Karoshi combine d-beats, fast-as-fuck thrash, and epic post-rock. For fans of Fall of Efrafa, From Ashes Rise, and Oroku. Pressing of 500.

THE MAKAI / ATTACK OF THE MAD AXEMAN - Split 7" (2008 Subject To Suffering / Flowerviolence Records / Institut Fur Mentale Hygiene) California dark crust paired up with brutal German grind.

ROTTING PALMS 7" (2012 IFB Records 053) Rotting Palms hail from the depths of Tampa, keeping true to that cities storied past of heavy and mean hardcore. These young punks take a powerful, plodding approach, focusing on bludgeoning riffs and pounding drums with vocals in the His Hero is Gone school. This is the kind of crust influenced heavy hardcore that makes me close my eyes and bob my head with clenched fists.

SECURICOR - Only In Death 7" (2009 Self-released) Studs, Spikes, and Dreads!!! Chicago based-metallic hardcore/crust punk with dual male/female vocals. Sweet metallic riffs with screaming solos over hardcore punk and crust beats. Think Whorehouse of Representatives and The Restarts vocally screaming over top of influenced riffage from English Dogs, Broken Bones and early 90s crust bands. Limited to 500 and self-released.

SERVITUDE / EBOLA 7" (1998 Clean Plate Records CP30) Ebola returns with more blazing and angry political hardcore songs and a really nice looking 8 page booklet containing art and lyrics. Depressing and harsh. Servitude are equally vicious but way more crazed and frantic. Political thrash with no apologies and no mercy.

STATE OF THE UNION - Rez-Erection 7" (1995 Profane Existence EXIST 019) Hardcore punk, originally from Rapid City SD

SV - State Violence 7" (2011 Hesitation Wound HWR-002) This is some insanely blown-out, nasty crust punk comparable to bands like D-Clone, Isterismo, and other Japanese that really toe the line between noise and music... the guitar sound is blown to shit, but the riffs are discernable and the music is driving and even catchy. Along with their neighbors in Lotus Fucker, State Violence are one of the view US bands that warrant the attention of the hardcore noise punkerz. Pressing of 200.

SYNDROME 7" (2009 Desolate Legacy Records DL004) New band from richmond featuring Brandon from DIRECT CONTROL, GOVERNMENT WARNING on drums. This is nothing like his other bands. SYNDROME play dead on swedish style d-beat very much like TOTALITÄR and ANTI-CIMEX. Wild reverbed vocals and tons of raw energy.

THETAN - Welcome To Whine Country 7" (2012 Anti-Corp ACM026) The remaining members of SANCTIONS hold it down in this new 2 piece power-violence explosion. Ripping out 10 tracks of bass/drum mayhem in just under 12min.. Proving that raw savagery needs no frills!

THETAN / BIBLE THUMPER 7" (2013 Burnt Bridges Records) Nashville Tennessee's THETAN destroys your speakers with 4 tracks of spastic, frantic, borderline psychotic hardcore. Short rapidfire bursts of mayhem only subside long enough to make way for noisy fucked interims. Flip the record and New Brunswick's BIBLE THUMPER raze all in their path with feedback laden blasts of fire and brimstone. Pausing only momentarily before returning to their bludgeoning style of caustic hardcore. No guitarists were harmed in the making of this record!

UNSETTLED 7" (1995 Passive Fist PF-004) This time out we've got N.C.'s Unsettled... hailing from Greensboro in the mid-90's, these dudes started out as "Core of Reality" which betrays some of their influence. They changed the name, played a mean C.O.C. cover live (Prayer!) and tightened up the sound. To my ears it sounds like early Voorhees meets Ulcer... sick stuff.

WARDANCE ORANGE 7" (1996 Tribal War Records) Hardcore punk from Richmond, VA. There's tons of influences in the music - from metallic hardcore (particularly Rorschach) to early emo (Moss Icon or Rites of Spring).

WHIPPED / INHUMANE - We Need Our Wars 7" (1993 Sabotage;earth Records SAB-001) Crust and hardcore from Seattle.

WHOLE IN THE HEAD - Them And Us 7" (2011 Opiate Records / Tadpole Records / Warm Bath Label / Active Rebellion) Whole In The Head were a rampaging monster of a band and this EP shows them at their very best. Musically this is as good as I’ve heard them on record; it’s snarling, angry, powerful, intense, fast and uncompromising, and I even like Jamie’s vocals! But when you add to that the excellent artwork and presentation this is one of the best punk rock records to come out in a very long time. The fold out, Crass style, sleeve has lyrics, explanations, relevant contact info and cool artwork, and is the perfect way to illustrate just how much this band and this record deserve to be taken notice of. This isn’t just punk for entertainment, this is punk that informs, educates and encourages participation; just how punk rock should be in a world where war, poverty, exploitation, terror and environmental destruction are seen as “the norm”. We need more bands and releases like this, it’s just a shame that Whole In The Head are no longer together, although the individual band members, good men all, are carrying on the good fight in one way or another.

YADOKAI 7" (2012 Video Disease Records VD 11) Yadokai is back armed with a new drummer and an even bigger sound. Taking cues from classic Japanese and Italian HC but infusing it with the buzzsaw attack of Discharge they have truly become a hardcore monster. Piercing guitars, thunderous drums, and the screams and distorted yells of a singer in opposition to all forms of tyranny and hypocrisy. Their best and most consistent material to date, this it the standard to which bands of this ilk should be measured.

Various - Welcome To Minneapolis 7" (2012 Profane Existence EXIST 126) Compilation of hardcore punk, crust, and thrash with PONX ATTAX, VARIX, IN DEFENCE, KONTRASEKT, FAVELA RISING, COGNITIVE DISSONANCE.
