USA FIRST PRESSING TRIPLE VINYL LP IN BOX WITH FOLD-OUT POSTER AND ALL ORIGINAL PRINTED INNER SLEEVES.

Why buy a first or early pressing and not a re-issue or a ‘re-mastered’ vinyl album?

First pressings are made from first generation lacquers and stampers. They usually sound vastly superior to later issues and re-issues (which are often pressed from whatever tapes or digital sources are currently available). First or early pressings nearly always have more immediacy, presence and dynamics. The sound staging is wider and subtle instrument nuances are better placed with more spacious textures. Balances are firmer in the bottom end with a far-tighter bass. Upper-mid ranges shine without harshness, and the overall depth is more immersive, with inner details more clearer. On first and early pressings, the music tends to sound more ‘alive’ and vibrant.

BOX: VERY GOOD WITH LIGHT SHELF, CORNER AND EDGE WEAR. A SMALL PIECE OF STICKY TAPE ON TOP RIGHT EDGE. THE JOIN BETWEEN THE TOP BOX AND BOTTOM PART HAS DRIED OUT SO THEY ARE NO LONGER JOINED TOGETHER. POSTER IS EXCELLENT MINUS AND HAS NEVER BEEN ON A WALL. INNER SLEEVES ALL VERY GOOD+, WITH A FEW CREASES, THE ODD TOP NICK AND SMALL MIDDLE BOTTOM SEAM SPLITS ON TWO OF THEM.

DISCS: EXCELLENT MINUS. NO SCRATCHES. NO SPINDLE WEAR, JUST A FEW FINGERPRINTS. THESE DISCS DO NOT LOOK PLAYED MORE THAN A FEW TIMES, IF THAT. WE PLAY CHECKED A FEW TRACKS AND IT GIVES SUPERB AUDIO, AS GOOD AS THE DAY IN 1970 THAT IT LEFT THE FACTORY. YOU WILL BE HARD-PRESSED TO FIND BETTER CONDITION FIRST PRESSING SET OF DISCS THAN THESE. CLEAN LABELS.
