Having been out of print on vinyl for 20-plus years - a time during which their fanbase has grown exponentially - the Red House Painters’ 4AD catalogue is finally heading back to the racks.
Just one year on from their debut, Mark Kozelek and company returned with not one but two new albums; both eponymously titled and released months apart in 1993.
The first of these was this ambitious double album - whose unofficial title stems from the rollercoaster on its cover.
Now viewed among the most realised collections in Zokelek’s entire celebrated career, the record houses highlights such as Grace Cathedral Park, Katy Song and Mistress, and comes highly recommended.
