Warren Ellis has long been a dab hand at soundtracking films, and for Mustang he steps away from his usual cinematic partner-in-crime Nick Cave.
Ellis’ strings lead proceedings, with a good couple of other instruments following up. The results are wonderful and richly layered with a wealth of atmospherics.
