GRADING SYSTEM

Mint (M): Absolutely perfect in every way, never played.

Near Mint (M-): A nearly perfect record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. May have drill holes.

Very Good Plus Plus (VG++): Generally better than VG+ but not as good as a near mint record as described above. The vinyl has some visible scuff marks and no significant scratches. One side may even be closer to near mint while the other side closer to VG+.

Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surface may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. May have slight warp that does not affect play or sound. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but barely noticeable. The center spindle hole is not misshapen by repeated play.

Very Good (VG): Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG record. Surface noise will be evident during playback, especially during soft passages and during a song's intro and fade but will not overpower the music otherwise. Has noticeable groove wear, may have light scratches (that could be deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may have writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.

Good (G): Good does not mean Bad! The record can be put onto a turntable and be played through without skipping, but it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear.
