Originally recorded live in a garage to cassette between 1976 and 1979. This edition issued in 2014. Comes in a clear outer polyvinyl sleeve (not sealed), as shipped by the label; pressed on pinkish red translucent vinyl (the label describes the color as oxblood). Remastered from the original cassette tapes. Includes a 16-page full color 6”x6” informative/photo insert booklet featuring an interview with band members Jerry Gutierrez and Fernando Hernandez plus an 11x17 (half fold) show poster reproduction. MEMBERS:  Mike Better (vocals), Jerry Gutierrez (bass), Fernando Hernandez (guitar), and Cathy Murguia (drums). TRACKS:  The Harder The Better, Leather Babies, Lady On The Hill, On The Road, Master Of The Darkness, Rock N’ Roller Masses, She’s A Rocker, and Shadows Of My Sounds. DESCRIPTION:  Bridging the gap between 70’s hard rock and the Heavy Metal sounds of the early 1980’s, Wicked Step played an integral role in San Antonio earning its reputation as the Rockin’ Capital of Texas. In a time when disco and yacht rock dominated the airwaves, Wicked Step stood tall in delivering no-frills, ass-kicking Rock n’ Roll. Taking cues from their heroes Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, Judas Priest, and Frank Marino (Mahogany Rush) – Wicked Step was a staple in the biker clubs, neighborhood bars, backyard parties, and guerilla-style empty lot gigs. If Rock at high volume was needed, Wicked Step was always there to provide. Besides a rare self-produced 7” single, the recordings on this LP are the only surviving musical artifact of the band. No fancy studios at use here. These are raw and noisy tunes straight from the rehearsal room, pumped through a 12 channel Peavy mixing board, to a Realistic home cassette deck. Meant to be played loud, just as originally delivered. Comes on oxblood colored vinyl.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers.

RETURN POLICY:

 

Please e-mail me with specific details and I will get back to you with your options. I ask that if there is a problem with the item that you contact me as soon as possible after receiving it. Any item that must be returned is done so at the buyer’s expense. Any refund, exchange, or substitution/credit will be at the buyer’s choice, but not made until the original item is received back by me; in the condition as stated in the item description. 

 

NON-ARRIVAL OF PACKAGES:

 

US Customers:  Please wait at least two weeks from my confirmed shipping date before contacting me about the non-arrival of your package. All packages are shipped with confirmation/tracking, you will received an automatically generated shipping notice from Ebay e-mail with your tracking number. It has been several years since I’ve had a package not make its US destination, so risk is minimal.

 

INTERNATIONAL Customers:  Please wait at least 3 weeks from my confirmed shipping date before contacting me about the non-arrival of your package. If security is your concern please have your package registered (see above for fee). I do my best to quickly post packages, but once the package is in the hands of the world’s postal system it is beyond my control. With First-Class Package International Service my only option for investigating the loss of your package is to verify that it left this country to its destination country. Most all delayed/lost packages have disappeared/been delayed after they have reached their destination country. NOTE:  Based on recent buyer feedback, International packages have been moving much slower these days; it is not unusual for a package to take over three weeks for delivery, though normally packages should arrive in 7 to 15 business days.
