FOLLOWING AN IN-STORE APPEARANCE, THESE LPS ARE NOW SIGNED BY RICKY WARWICK
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Ricky Warwick was cut from the cloth of a mill worker’s jacket, embracing nofrills, emotionally direct pure music exemplified by such American influences as Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen and Steve Earle. Now a member of Black Star Riders, Ricky writes songs in a number of styles and many of these tracks wouldn’t be at home on one of their albums. Instead, he decided to record and release these LPs as solo projects; the results being the more hard rock centred When Patsy Cline Was Crazy (And Guy Mitchell Sang The Blues) and the beautiful acoustic Hearts On Trees.
Both albums were written by Ricky and his good friend Sam Robinson and depict their experiences of growing up in the Greater East Belfast area. Featuring a wealth of guest musicians, this double-LP includes both albums, as well as a handful of bonus tracks.
