From the 1984 Motion Picture and LP of the same title, this item is Prince's seventh BILLBOARD hit, which reached the #2 position (remaining there for 2 weeks!) in October of that year -- "Purple Rain / God", Warner Brothers 29174, PURPLE VINYL 45 RPM in a Picture Sleeve. The record itself is in a beautiful NEAR MINT~UNPLAYED (Vinyl looks BRAND NEW!) condition with its original shiny/glossy, mirror-like playing surface. The labels, which list both the A and B-side information on one side (shown in pic #1 below), with only a picture of "purple rain" on the other (shown in pic #2 below), is in MINT condition. The Picture Sleeve is a special plastic edition and is also in NEAR MINT condition with only some extremely light traces of wear. There absolutely no tears, writing, stickers, stamps, staple holes or seam splits. See my "About Me" page for my grading scale. ALL my 45 RPM's and Picture Sleeves are housed in their own individual 7" protective plastic sleeves. In the case of a 45 RPM having a Picture Sleeve the 45 RPM is housed in a 7" white paper sleeve. My 45 RPM's have been kept separate from their Picture Sleeves since I purchased them. Also, in most cases where there is not a Picture Sleeve, my 45 RPM's are housed in their original company paper sleeve.
