Glenn Jones is a master of American Primitive guitar, a style invented by the influential John Fahey, whose traditional finger-picking techniques and wide-ranging influences were used to create modern original compositions. The Wanting was Jones’ first album for Thrill Jockey (and fourth album overall). A collection of original compositions for solo acoustic steel string guitar, six-string, 10-string and
bottleneck and 5-string open-back banjo, the LP is now available again on vinyl.
