A VERY GOOD PLAYING COPY OF THIS RARE 78 FROM "THE CRANES SKIFFLE GROUP" aka CHAS McDEVITT!!
Embassy was Woolworth's own 78 record label and the records were produced by Oriole records. Not suprisingly Oriole used its own artists to make cover versions of the hits of the day for Woolworths - and the Skiffle 78s were down to Chas McDevitt.
Here his band (minus Nancy Whiskey) cover "Don't you rock me Daddy-O" and the "Banana Boat Song"
Some rate these rawer versions are more authentic and closer to the real Skiffle Sound than the original hits...
