Bud Powell ~ Moods ~ Framed Cover

Mercury ~ Very 1st Press!

 

Up for auction is a RARE very first pressing of Moods by Bud Powell. This is the deep groove, flat edge Mercury pressing that was made in 1953.  This is not the Clef pressing which is a second pressing from 1954.  I have included in the pictures a photo of the Goldmine catalog showing the chronology.  CATALOG NUMBER: MGC 610.  Properly stored and cared for!  Conservatively graded.  

Format:  33-1/3  Mono

Label: Mercury.  1st pressing.  Deep Groove both sides. 

LP Condition (Visual Grade):  Side 1: VG++/Near Mint   Side 2: VG++.  Flat Edge.  Wonderful Shine!!   

Jacket Condition:  VG+.  Framed Cover.  Quite Nice.  Comes with the original inner sleeve.

**Grading System:  M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG / VG- / G**

**No cut-outs, saw marks, drill holes, etc.**

**Cleaned on a VPI HW-17i record cleaner and stored in a Mobile Fidelity audiophile inner sleeve**
