Make sure you look at my other items. Always cheaper to buy a bunch to get a cut rate on shipping. You can get a lot of vinyl shipped cheap via Media mail in the US. Thanks, and Rock on....John at Wax

I ask for payment as soon as you can, but let me know if you need some time, are waiting on other auctions to end, or whatever. I'm easy! I accept paypal, but you can also contact me for other means of payment. I always combine multiple purchases with a discount on shipping to save you cash. Which leaves you more money to buy more vinyl!

All LP's are shipped with the record and inner sleeve outside of cover, with both inside a plastic outer sleeve. They are shipped in rigid LP mailers with cardboard pad reinforcement. 78's are shipped carefully using my tried and true method that works superbly. 45's are shipped with cardboard protection as well. I want the item to arrive just as it looked here. :-)

Making you happy is my goal in every sale. I make every effort to ship within a day of sale. My philosophy is that you earn positive feedback when you make payment as that is all that is required from you. My job is to get your purchase to you in a timely fashion and as advertised. I hope to earn your positive feedback. If by chance you are not pleased, contact me first to work something out. I am as easy and fair as anyone.

Wax Xtatic is my self created labor of love, selling/buying/trading 'officially' since 1999, but been into collecting vinyl since I could legibly fill out one of those '12 LP's for Just a Penny' offers from the record clubs (i.e. a long time ago...) I am certainly not the biggest seller, but you can be assured that what you get is what I promised. I work at this part time now in my vinyl dungeon, which is our entire 30x30 foot basement. I 'speak' vinyl, and you can trust my grading of vinyl and shellac. As always, a big thanks to you, and ROCK ON! John @ wax xtatic

All grades for the vinyl or shellac are shown above the pics in the item details section. Grading is based on the Goldmine system. Here is a somewhat condensed version of how that looks:

MINT: Absolutely perfect in every way-certainly never played. (Very seldom will you see this grade from me) More than likely this will be a still sealed piece, or unplayed store stock. NEAR MINT: Nearly perfect. Record shows no obvious/significant signs of wear, only limited use and handling. The Album cover/45 picture sleeve or EP sleeve has no more than the most minor defects/wear, and showing only the slightest of handling. Very nice gloss to vinyl. Has more than likely been played, but sparingly and carefully by someone who appreciates their vinyl! This is a proud bragging piece to your audiophile friends! VERY GOOD PLUS: Will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by somebody who took good care of it. Vinyl surface will show some slight signs of wear and may have some slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect the listening experience significantly (more than likely sleeve scuffs), but could produce light noise in soft spots, intro/outro. Label will show some light wear. Album Cover/Picture sleeves/EP sleeves will have some slight ring wear, lightly turned up corners, light fray to seams, light yellowing/mellowing maybe a small split at record slot corners, or very small split in seam middles that don't detract. A very nice copy for your collection. If not for a few things, this would be near mint. VERY GOOD: Surface noise evident upon playing, but will not overpower the music. Groove wear is more noticeable, as are light scratches/scuffs that will affect sound. Labels will possibly be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or residue) attached, light ring wear/fade. The same will be true of Album Covers/Picture Sleeves/EP sleeves, although not all of the problems combined. Sleeves/Covers may have splits, but not overpowering or detracting from the piece, visually or structurally. VG is generally a very acceptable copy for your collection, both visually and audibly. GOOD OR GOOD PLUS: A record in this grade can play through without skipping, but will have a lot of scratches/scuffs and visible groove wear. Generally played a lot, or kept in a sleeveless, careless existence. LP Cover/Picture Sleeve/EP Sleeve will have splits, especially at bottom or to spine, that detract signficantly from the piece and compromise it's sturdiness-splits are generally to all three sides, or two out of three and 50% or more. Tape, writing, ring wear, stains, etc. will more than likely overwhelm the piece. This is considered a hole filler for you in your collection, or an extremely rare piece not to be found elsewhere. POOR/FAIR: This is beached! Poor condition means it has been heavily abused. You won't see this often from me, and only on very collectable pieces. If it can be wrong with it, it is! Grading system used for vinyl is the GOLDMINE standard. 78's grade by the American Premium Record Guide and common grading standards. Vinyl is by visual grade. On rare high end pieces I will also play grade.

Grading on 78 rpm's (Condensed):

EX: Light wear, play surface retains much of the original shine, noise minimal on play. VG: Bit more worn than an EX record, maybe some light gray in grooves. Noise and visual look does not overwhelm it-a very acceptable copy. G:Not the best, lot's of graying in grooves, marks and scratches. Noise is going to overwhelm more than the music. F/P: Beat to heck and only for sale if it is extremely rare.

If you have a question or concern, just want to talk about vinyl, or see if I have something you a looking for, let me know. Use the 'Ask Seller a Question' function in the listing, and we'll go from there. I may not answer immediately (although I've been known to do it) but should answer within the same day. If you are ever in my neck of the small woods here in Iowa, give me a heads up and you can stop buy to look at the shop.
