I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A COLLECTION OF 45s DATING FROM THE LATE 1950S AND VERY EARLY 1960s WHICH ORIGINALLY CAME FROM THE RECORD LIBRARY OF RADIO STATION WFIL IN PHILADELPHIA PA. ALL OF THESE 45s COME PACKAGED IN THEIR ORIGINAL HEAVY GREEN RADIO STATION SLEEVES, ALL OF WHICH BEAR 'WFIL 56' RUBBER STAMPS, AND MOST OF WHICH BEAR THEIR ORIGINAL WFIL CATALOGING STICKERS SHOWING THE CATALOG NUMBERS, LABEL NAMES, AND SONG TITLES OF EACH RECORD CONTAINED IN THE SLEEVES. MOST OF THE HEAVY GREEN SLEEVES SHOW USE, WITH WRINKLES AND WEAR, AND WITH SIDE SEAMS COMING UNGLUED AND WITH SOME HAVING TAPE HOLDING THE SIDE SEAMS TOGETHER - I HAVE LEFT THE HEAVY GREEN SLEEVES IN THE SAME CONDITION THEY WERE IN WHEN I OBTAINED THEM, WITHOUT DOING ANY REPAIR WORK ON THEM, I HAVE HOWEVER CLEANED THE RECORDS THAT NEEDED CLEANING (MOST OF THEM DID NOT). OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS I'LL BE OFFERING SOME OF THESE 45s SINGLELY AND THE REST IN ONE LARGE LOT.
This is a LOT CONSISTING OF THREE ORIGINAL 1957 AND 1958 CHESS RECORDS 45s from rock-n-roll pioneer Chuck Berry. All three records come packaged in their original WFIL Radio Philadelphia heavy green radio station sleeves with WFIL rubber stamps, two with their original cataloging stickers. Details are as follows:
1) Rock & Roll Music / Blue Feeling - Chess 1671 - 1957
2) Johnny B. Goode / Around & Around - Chess 1691 - 1958
3) Sweet Little Rock And Roll / Joe Joe Gun - Chess 1709 - 1958
Condition of all three records is better than is usually seen with original Chuck Berry 45s - Condition of all three 45s is a high VG+ with a few light visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. The 'Johnny B. Goode' 45 has some small bumps in the vinyl play surface; this is a slight pressing defect which does not affect play, the music is pressed right into the bumps. Labels have a little contact wear and a little bit of wear around their center holes. This 45 would be a nice addition to any 1950s rock-n-roll 45 record collection, especially if you are from Philly! First Class mail postage within the U.S. is $3.50. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - PLEASE NOTE: NEW FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL AIRMAIL POSTAGE TO AREAS OUTSIDE THE U.S EXCEPT FOR CANADA (10.50) AND GERMANY is $13.50 - YES IT'S CRAZY, THIS IS THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE AS OF 1/27, NOT ME!!! PLEASE NOTE: AN EXTRA $13.95 TO COVER REGISTERED POSTAGE WITH TRACKING AND SIGNATURE DELIVERY WILL BE ADDED TO ALL SHIPMENTS VALUED OVER $50.00 GOING TO BUYERS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES. ALSO, DUE TO THE GERMAN POST AND CUSTOMS CONTINUING FAILURE TO DELIVER MY PACKAGES, I AM FORCED TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL $13.95 TO COVER REGISTERED POSTAGE WITH TRACKING AND SIGNATURE DELIVERY TO ALL SHIPMENTS GOING TO GERMANY. I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS, BUT I CANNOT CONTINUE TO LOSE MONEY AND HAVE MY EBAY REPUTATION DAMAGED BY THE GERMAN POST AND CUSTOMS' INABILITY TO DELIVER MY PACKAGES. Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S.! BUYER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the 45 if buyer is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!
