M- A record in Mint condition appears to have never been played.

NM- A near mint record may have 1 or 2 visible imperfections such as a sleeve scuff but will not affect the play.  it will have no scratches.

VG+  - A Very Good Plus record will have a few imperfections such as a few light scratches, sleeve scuff, or some light wear.  still a very nice looking record.

VG  - A record in Very Good condition will have some light scratches and other imperfections along with wear to a slight more degree than VG+.  no scratches that can be felts with your fingernail.

G+     - Good+  Considerable wear and scratches will be seen on this record.  Maybe One scratch that can be felt.

G  -   Good grading will also show considerable wear and scratches.  some scratches that can be felt.

Grading Scale for The Cover or Jacket:

M-   Mint would be considered to look brand new with no signs of wear or handling.

NM-  Near Mint will also appear as brand new but may have a light imperfection.  a lot of sealed records will demand this grade.  Some covers with this grade will also have cut-out marks such as: saw cut, drill hole,, or corner cut.

VG+   - Very Good Plus condition represents a cover that has very light signs of wear.  Such as, light corner wear or edge wear.  also, light stains, small seam split, discoloration, light crease mark, or light ring wear.

VG    -  Very Good grade represents a cover that will have a lot of the same wear as VG+ but could have more.  if a record has a significant amount of ring wear, corner, edge wear.  staining or discoloration.  or a large seam split.

G   -   You can expect a cover that shows a lot of wear and imperfections.Fairly poor condition.    These are usually found in our older lp's.
