Description:
Last year I purchased the remaining stock from a few distros and record stores that closed down. Now I have too many boxes of 7"s. I am offering this lot of 30 EPs at a reduced price with free Media Mail shipping in the US. The bands play various forms of hardcore punk, with an empasis on crust.
ALEX KERNS - Art Of The Underground Single Series Vol 33 7" (2008 Art Of The Underground) Alex Kerns, drummer and vocalist of Buffalo, NY's Lemuria, as well as proprieter for the Art of the Underground, has posted two songs including an original, "Clamor On," and a cover of the song "I Know I'm Not Wrong" off of the Fleetwood Mac album Tusk.
ASSAULT - Martyrdom 7" (2001 Partners In Crime PIC SIX)Slightly metallic hardcore from Japan
BORN DEAD ICONS - Modern Plague 7" (2001 Witch Hunt WH-008) Born Dead Icons are cruising town with a dark and heavy sounding rumble that is influenced by both Motorhead and Amebix. Four tracks of harsh sounding hardcore that is powerful and depressing sounding.
BREAD AND WATER / REASON OF INSANITY - Split 7" (2000 Burrito Records 14) Reason of Insanity Play fast aggressive hardcore without losing that toe tapping quality. The vocals are brutal and harsh, and their artwork is classic cut and paste punk. Bread And Water have political lyrics and they play straight forward hardcore with a bit of melody. Their main vocalist is a woman, and her voice is supplemented by the occasional burst of distorted growling.
CARDIAC ARREST - Life's A Dead End 7" (2006 Grave Mistake Records GRAVE016) Brand new EP from these Midwest ragers! On their second EP, St. Louis' CARDIAC ARREST deliver six more ripping tracks of fast and pissed hardcore, reminiscent of early Boston bands like NEGATIVE FX or the F.U.s. Clocking in six songs at approximately six minutes, this EP will have you floored before you even realize what hit you. Short, fast, raw, abrasive and in your face, exactly how hardcore was meant to be played.
CHRONICLE A/D - Enough Rats In The Walls...And The Empires Fall 7" (2004 Hyperrealist HR008) This three piece features members and ex-members of Antischism, Initial State and Karst playing a powerful mix of dark, brooding hardcore and classic peace punk with dual vocals and definite political overtones.
CIVIC PROGRESS - Petroleum Man 7" (2008 No Way Records NW-26) Killer St. Louis, MO hardcore that is full of negative energy and frustration. 7 Songs on this steamroller, and not one of them is a dud. You may remember this ep coming out a while ago on No Wire records, which sold out really quickly- so the band asked us to a bigger press to get it back out there for the punks. This versions is remastered loud as hell, and we've made brand new art and layout to make a distinct difference from the 1st pressing. "Petroleum Man" is raw, aggressive, and just plain mean.
CONFINES - Withdrawn 7" (2010 Labor Of Love 2.5 / Side Two 2-001) The sheer intensity of this band may blow your mind, or your speakers. Featuring members of some of the best bands out of Boston/Mass in the last decade, Confines play angry, driving, political hardcore with lots of guitar wankery and some catchy melodic riffage, usually at breakneck speed. Guitarist Ryan Abbott absolutely shreds on every song, and PJ Kuda on drums tears up his kit with the brutal ferocity. Thankfully, Jamie Jones on bass holds things together as Andrew Jackmauh screams like a banshee over everything. If fast and thrashy hardcore punk is your thing, check this out immediately.
CONTAGIUM 7" (2012 Doomed To Extinction Records DTE 09) Raw, primitive stenchcore/crust. Seven noisy, bass-heavy songs. Pressing of 500.
DRAIZE 7" (2014 Bad Teeth Recordings BTR #005) These Boston powerviolence pros have returned with new material at last! This 6 song slab will seriously put you right back in your fucking place. One of the finest modern hardcore bands blast through approximately 10 minutes of pure aggression with the sweetest punk edge.
EVOLVED TO OBLITERATION 7" (1996 Clean Plate 11) Classic 1990s CA hardcore / power violence with Max from Spazz on vocals. Colored wax.
FINAL MASSAKRE - The Bells Of Hell Toll The Final Chime 7" (1999 Tribal War 035) Full Metal Jacket D-Beat Raw Punk from Portland, OR
HALLRAKER - Sessions 7" (1997 Ellington Records ell #02) HALLRAKER were a Massachusetts area band existing from 96-98 playing up tempo skate punk influenced by Black Flag, Swiz, Bad Brains, Decendents, Bl’ast! etc. They released this, their first 7?, a full length CD and the She 7?. I have the She 7? also but the Sessions 7? is my favourite, you put it on and it just feels good to hear. I would love it if more bands played like this these days, it’s a very honest straight up fun type of hardcore.
HALLRAKER - She 7" (1998 Phyte Records PY-009) Hardcore from Mass.
KILL THE MESSENGER - Five On Seven 7" (2000 Phyte PHY 019) San Francisco hardcore. White wax.
KONTRAATTAQUE - Luchas Tragedias E Historias De Nuestra Gente 7" (1999 El Grito 03) Pissed political hardcore from Los Angeles. Comes with 20-page booklet.
KRUSH / SPINEBENDER - split 7" (1998 Beyond Records) Dutch and German grinding hardcore.
LIES FEED THE MACHINE - Gallows 7" (2009 Scream Records SR 014) Two year after their last record Lies feed the machine from Berlin are back with a new great, little piece of vinyl, named “Gallows”. With Marek of Insuciety and Ex-Mönster now on drums, their sound has developed in variety and you can expect piercing, sporadically metallicguitar riffs and pummeling basslines, backed with heavy ‘n rough d-beat drumming and angrily screamed vocals. Red wax.
LIFE TRAP - Solitary Confinement EP 7" (2008 No Way Records NW-29) Life Trap return for another swift kick to the head with 8 songs of punishing HC/PUNK not unlike their 1st ep and demo. No song over a minute and a half, so you know it will feed your non- attentive brain and hardcore addiction. A great 2nd ep from this great band.
MUTILATED VETERANS / VASTATION 7" (2015 Morbid Reality Records MRR 020) Mutilated Veterans is the side project band formed by Dopi from Machetazo (rip) and Ramon from Looking For An Answer. Both bands playing raw Brutal Death Crust Punk!
NEGATIVE STANDARDS 10" (2012 Halo Of Flies HALO45 / Gay Scientist Records GSR004 / Cop Grave Records CGR-03) Sharp nails, beautiful nightmares surrounded by doom clouds…that is the atmoshpere conjured by Negative Standards. This band is just fucking straight crust, sludge & doom homicide. Negative Standard have mastered the art of the attack-mode playing style that makes you want to destroy all the bastards in so-called power. They hail from Oakland, CA. Pressing of 550.
NO SYSTEM - Dead Bands Tell No Tales 7" (2009 No Way Records NW-33) No System were a Boston, MA hardcore band from the mid-'80s and featured Al Quint of Suburban Voice fanzine fame on vocals and members of PTL Klub on the instruments. They used a style similar to the earlier Boston bands like DYS, Deep Wound and FUs, and on this recording, did a cover of the classic Discharge song "Doomsday."
NOOTHGRUSH / CAROL ANN - Split 7" (1999 Catchphraze CPR-13 / Anhedonia) Pressing of 500. Sludge. Cover has some wear on the corners and back.
SAKE - The Desert 7" (1997 Hopscotch Records #8) Hardcore punk from Eureka CA.
S.B.V. 7" (2004 Parts Unknown Records PUR 010) San Diego's S.B.V. deliver the goods on their debut 7", taking the best of old Southern California bands like Uniform Choice, but leaving out the Hallmark card lyrics and poetry intros. Sick artwork by Jeff Gaither, who has worked with everyone from the Accused to Annihilation Time.
SCUMBRIGADE / ENS 7" (1998 Död & Uppsvälld D&U005) Both bands are from Sweden and both play crusty hardcore punk.
SERVITUDE / EBOLA 7" (1998 Clean Plate Records CP30) Ebola returns with more blazing and angry political hardcore songs and a really nice looking 8 page booklet containing art and lyrics. Depressing and harsh. Servitude are equally vicious but way more crazed and frantic. Political thrash with no apologies and no mercy.
SPLITTING HEADACHE - The World's My Aim 7" (2007 Chainsaw Safety CS 028) SPLITTING HEADACHE combines the classic elements of West Coast punk /hardcore with the despondent sound of the Midwest early 80s sound. Six new songs about everything that’s not right in this world: and that’s just about everything!
WORLD BURNS TO DEATH / SLANG 7" (2010 Prank 114) Crusty disbeat from Texas backed with Japanese hardcore.
V/A - No Bullshit Vol 4 7" (2009 No Way Records NW-37) International hardcore compilation with CITIZENS PATROL, ANTI YOU, BORN BAD, CIVIC PROGRESS, LOGIC PROBLEM, VIOLENT ARREST, and INSOMNIO.
Item Condition:
The records are all new and unplayed. They have been languishing in distro boxes for years and have some edge wear (especially at the top) and minor corner bends. Price stickers (if any) are on the plastic sleeve, not the cover.
Some of these records come with download codes. Even though the codes have never been used, the website (like the band or the label) may be long gone.
