The Salsoul Orchestra was the backing band of session musicians
 for many acts on New York City label, Salsoul Records and, under
its own name, recorded several hit singles and albums between 1975 and
1982. The orchestra was formed in 1974 and was disbanded in 1982.
Their music featured elements of Philadelphia soul, funk, Latin and disco.
The Salsoul Orchestra included up to 50 members and was created
and masterminded for Salsoul Records by Philadelphia musician
Vincent Montana, Jr.. Montana wrote, arranged, conducted, produced and
played on all of the orchestra’s tracks until 1978, including this gold-selling
 Christmas album. The Salsoul Orchestra initially consisted of many
of the original members of Philadelphia International’s MFSB, who had moved
to Salsoul as the result of a disagreement with producers Kenny Gamble and
Leon Huff over finances. Other members began performing as The Ritchie Family
and as John Davis and the Monster Orchestra. On later MFSB and
Philadelphia International recordings, Gamble & Huff used a new
rhythm section which resulted in a slightly different sound. This holiday  themed disco showcase never fails to get the party started! Whoo Whoo

LP PACKAGING
We package our LPs in a thick cardboard LP mailer. 
We ALWAYS take the LP out of the jacket of 2nd hand items to 
avoid any seam splitting that could occur in shipment. 
We put the LP and the jacket in an LP plastic sleeve. 
We do NOT open sealed LPs unless requested. 
We cushion the LP in bubble wrap and use shipping tape 
on all spines to protect the integrity of the box, and to 
insure the safety of the contents. All this is included in

the low shipping price. We will clean your purchase on our 
VPI machine if and when necessary. This insures that 
you receive your item in the best possible condition.

 LP SHIPPING
We offer the US Postal Service’s Media Mail and / or Priority 
for shipping in the U.S. Buyer’s choice. The buyer pays the shipping, 
packing (see above) and handling charges. Tracking is included 
with both. We occasionally run domestic shipping specials. 
Signing up for our newsletter will give you early warnings. 
Shipping to other countries is by the United States Postal 
Service's First Class Mail International. Priority International 
Is also available.
