Wagner's massive four opera Ring Cycle. Wagner intended it to be performed in four successive nights, and these performances (originally from 1967) offered an impressive way to hear the masterpiece in LP form. In separate boxes for each of the four operas: Das Rheingold, Die Walkure, Siegfried, and Gotterdammerung feature the greatest Wagner artists of the time including Nilsson, Windgassen, Fricke, Ludwig, and Fischer-Dieskau. A total of 21 LPs (close to 15 hours of glorious music). Also included are four LP's introducing and analyzing the RIng Cycle with Deryck Cooke (always with excerpts from the complete recording).
