The 2nd HP Lovecraft LP, a Chicago based band who took the name from their collective love of the writer's books. Their second album is psychadelic classic of self penned tunes recorded after they relocated to the San Francisco region following high-profile shows at the Fillmore West opening for PROCOL HARUM, DONOVAN, PINK FLOYD, TRAFFIC as well as all the local San Fransisco Flower Power groups and were on the brink of wide success......
  The front laminated sleeve is intact and in VG+ condition, it has some edge/corner wear, scuffs & laminate storage wear on the front cover and some light rubbing on the inner cover. The spine is intact, but slightly worn in places & fully readable and the plain inner is intact & in VG+ condition.

The record is in visually EX condition with some evidence of being played, including a couple of faint hairlines and some scuffing visible under bright light on each side and small area of bag rash onnthe start of side 2 that does not affect play. The labels are clean & bright, in EX condition, with evidence of only one or two faint spindle markings.

The sound reproduction is good, with definately no skips, sticks or jumps on either side, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves and in a couple of the quieter passages, overall a really great, loud & punchy listen!   The matrix nos. are 852126, 1Y//1 mother stamper 1-1-5, 2Y//1 mother stampers 1-1-5. This is one of the earliest pressings of the original 1968 UK stereo 1st press issue of this album.
