Summer 1995 International Classical Record Collector (ICRC) Issue Number 1. As vinyl disappeared from record shops, Gramophone went over to mainly reviewing CD's and this was their break away journal for the rare record collector and those interested in the history of labels and the musicians of yesteryear, plus reissues. Large articles in this one about the conductor Ataulfo Argenta & another on his legendary SXL Espana. What make a £1000 record (the De Vito ASD) a visit to the SME facory and the early history of Pye/Nixa, part one, lots of historic reissue reviews, Transfer Philosophies, etc. A blinder of a first issue that came and went in 2 months at most, a quarter of a century ago!. A5 112 pages. This one is in very good condition, a bit more thumbed than most of my later ones as it was such a good read. I bought a good few volumes of these in the 90s but missed nearly half of them as they seemed to sell as soon as they appeared, it took me more than a decade to fill the gaps, and now back issues are as rare as hens teeth, except for one edition, which the same seller has in 2 sites. All of the £40 ones on Amazon have sold long ago! If you want a lot of these, I will work out a discount for you.
