Hi! You're looking at an excellent condition LP which is a RARE private pressing album presenting a documentary history of coach JOE PATERNO and his early career as football coach at PENN STATE UNIVERSITY narrated by RAY SCOTT and featuring commentary by FRANCO HARRIS, MIKE REID, LYDELL MITCHELL, JOHN CAPPELLETTI, RICHIE LUCAS, RIP ENGLE, and JACK HAM.  The LP was issued on the Total Communication Systems Production label.
This album was supposed to be about Joe Paterno and Penn State Football. One a man, the other an institution. Two separate entities, right? Well, not exactly. You see, there are many who believe that both are institutions, each responsive to the other's needs. And while one has enjoyed an occasional flirtation with some would-be homewrecker from time to time (the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots). Penn State and Paterno have been together now for more than 25 years. Maybe that's why they're so successful (94-18-1). They're a family, complete with "uncles" - five staff members have been around for a total of 121 years - and their young lions spring off a scrimmage line like no other team in college football. Listen now as future and former greats give their personal insights into the "family" that played together. Listen to the play-by-plays of some of the greatest moments. Joe Paterno and Penn State Football. A man, - a family, - an institution.
This LP is in excellent condition and the vinyl is in NM- overall condition with a few light scuffs that should not significantly affect play (it's more common for a spoken word LP to have a few audible bits of light background noise and a couple of scattered pops than a music LP, so these may be present to some degree); the cover is in solid NEAR MINT condition with just very slight dings on the tips and slight shelfwear and NO other significant imperfections!

Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)

Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.

Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.

Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.

Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.

Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches.  Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.

Very Good Minus (VG-)  A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.

Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.

Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).

A fantastic find, and a beautiful copy of this vinyl LP!
