Deluxe case bound double LP + double CD edition. Inspired by the albums for 78rpm shellac records in the library of La Fabrique, France, this special pressing of Moon Shaped Pool comes pressed on two extra heavyweight 12"s with two compact discs (featuring two extra tracks) and housed in a gorgeous book style case with 32 pages of artwork from longtime Radiohead collaborator Stanley Donwood. To add to the uniqueness of this pressing, there is a recording tape belly band applied which is a piece of a Radiohead ½ inch master tape from an actual recording session! The tape degrades over time and becomes unplayable, but the band thought rather than it ending up as landfill they would cut it up and make it useful as a part of the special edition. "A new life for some obsolete technology." Each loop contains about ¾ of a second of audio - which could be from any era in the band’s recording past going back to Kid A. You may have silence, you may have coloured leader tape, you may have a chorus - either way its a one of a kind piece of Radiohead history! About the album -  and the gang are back after a massive social media reboot for the UK band's 9th studio. The recording for A Moon Shaped Pool began back in 2012 following the tour for their previous effort The King Of Limbs, and once again the band enlisted  on production duties. The result is "a haunting, stunning triumph" according to Rolling Stone, and we couldn't agree more. Includes the lead single "Burn The Witch," "Daydreaming," "Identikit," "Desert Island Disk," "Decks Dark," "Ful Stop" and more. Another brilliant album that proves once again that  can do no wrong.
