Title: Teach Me How to Kiss, from "Belle of New York"
Artist: unidentified soprano
Label & Number: Pink Lambert 801
2 or 4 Minute: 2
Defects: The cylinder could use a light reaming, as it just barely fits on the mandrel. It is also out of round, so there is a warble in playback. It tracks OK on my Amberola I phonograph in spite of the warble.
Record Condition (1 to 10 scale): 5. Visually, it is in excellent condition with a deep even pink color throughout and a clear title on the rim. It is a showpiece, but does have difficulty playing as noted above.
Original or Substitute Box: Reproduction box and lid
Box Condition: Excellent
Comments: The cylinder runs at a slow speed, around 140 RPM. The announcement is very British and credits "Edison Bell Record" without giving the singer's name. An Edison Bell listing may reveal the singer's identity.
Featured This Week: We're currently listing a collection of minstrel, vaudeville, comic song, dance band and personality cylinders, all in good to excellent condition. We'll also include occasional rarities such as brown wax, 5000 series Blue Amberols, and maybe even a pink Lambert or two. New listings will be added daily - don't miss this opportunity to acquire some very desirable cylinders for your collection.
