Spirit, Twelve Dreams Of Dr Sardonicus, Orig UK Epic G/fld LP EX+/EX+ 2nd Press. Spirit, Twelve Dreams Of Dr Sardonicus, Orig UK Epic G/fld LP EX+/EX+ 2nd Press. Description Original UK Epic yellow label stereo press LP.

The fourth LP from Spirit released in November 1970. Spirit had reached a high point in their career during 1969 releasing the 'Clear' album and supporting Led Zeppelin in the US. They felt 'Clear' had been rushed and went into the studio from April to October in 1970 to record 'Twelve Dreams'. The resulting album proved to be a slow burner and during the follow up tour in January 1971 the band split up. The album continued to sell, especially in the UK & Europe and became a psych classic, with it finally going Gold in 1976!
This is the later 1972 issue with the square Epic Label, the side opening gatefold sleeve, A-3 B-1 matrices and B-16 C-7 mother stampers of the later presses!
The Shorewood matt gatefold sleeve is intact and in EX+ condition with some very light corner/edge wear on the front cover, with some light storage rubbing on the inner cover. The plain company inner is intact & in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only one or two faint sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with no evidence of spindle markings on either side   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud crackle or hiss and definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud & clear listen.   The matrix nos. are; EPC-S-64191, A-3 stamper B-16, B-1 stamper C-7. This is one of the later pressings of the original 1970 UK stereo issue of this album!
